It's Picnic Time!

Looking for something to do with your family on a lazy summer afternoon? Why not pack up a lunch and head to the park for a family picnic. Here are some tips to make it easy:




Stop by the prepared foods section of your local supermarket and pick up a bucket of fried chicken or a few gourmet sandwiches.


Make your picnic festive and bring along a colorful blanket.


Bring activities for the kids like frisbees and balls and maybe a good book for yourself!



Freeze bottled drinks the night before. Not only will they stay cold the entire day, they will also help keep food cool.

Freeze lemonade for some lemonade slushies.

Start with the basic recipe:
     • 6 lemons
     • 1 cup white sugar
     • 6 cups cold water
     • Then try these additions:

- Maraschino cherries and their   juice.
- Frozen strawberries, pureed.
- Watermelon cubes
- Ginger - Ale
- White grape juice
